Inter Milan and Marseille have agreed to terminate their loan agreement for prodigious forward Valentin Carboni midway through the campaign.
The reigning Serie A title holders announced the Argentine youngster’s imminent return to the San Siro.
Valentin Carboni joined Marseille on a season-long loan last summer.
However, after amassing just four appearances for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, the 19-year-old suffered a season-ending injury.
Indeed, Carboni sustained a long-term knee problem during the international break with Argentina.
Carboni will return to Inter, effective immediately.
However, his recovery process isn’t nearly over.

There’s a chance Simone Inzaghi could include him in Inter’s Club World Cup squad toward the end of the season.
But before that, Carboni must regain full fitness.
Indeed, he’ll maintain his off-field work in Milan, hoping to put himself at Inzaghi’s disposal as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Inter must decide what to do with their talented youngster.
They had hoped a loan spell at the Stade Velodrome could launch him to stardom.
Unfortunately, the fortune conspired against Carboni, who must start from scratch.
