The Beninese attacking midfielder leaves Grenoble and signs a permanent deal with the Turkish second division club.

Junior Olaitan has officially left Grenoble Foot 38 this Saturday, July 26, 2025. The Benin international has signed with Göztepe Spor Kulübü, a club competing in the Turkish top flight, in a permanent transfer.

Arriving last summer from Troyes, the 23-year-old midfielder from Benin will no longer wear the colors of Grenoble Foot 38. For several weeks, he was among the players expected to leave the French club this summer. Now it’s official! Just a few hours ago, Göztepe Spor Kulübü confirmed the arrival of Junior Olaitan.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of a four-year contract with an option for an additional year for Junior Olaitan Ishola,” the Turkish club announced in its official statement.

During the 2024/25 season, the international midfielder from Benin featured in 34 matches for Grenoble Foot 38, including 24 in Ligue 2, tallying 6 assists and 5 goals. Junior Olaitan is leaving France for the first time, three years after moving to Niort from Beninese club Ayema.
