Manchester United have made a special revelation ahead of Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Brentford.
United will be looking to make it back-to-back league wins for the first time since May 2024, when they make their way to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.
Ruben Amorim’s men pulled off a huge 2-1 victory over Chelsea last weekend, with Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro both finding the back of the net during the opening 45 minutes.
The victory provided some much-needed reprieve for Amorim, who was under a lot of pressure following the prior loss at the hands of Manchester City.
There were suggestions that his job was on the line but Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS maintained that they were fully behind him.
After the final whistle vs. Chelsea, Amorim stressed the importance of building momentum and another three points at Brentford’s expense will certainly do the trick.
As the Red Devils prepare for the fixture, the club have announced that they will debut the 2025/26 adidas third kit, but there is a unique twist.
United note, “The black strip was launched to great fanfare in August and now we’ll finally get a chance to see it in action, as we take on the Bees at the Gtech Community Stadium in the lunchtime kick-off.”
“While the kit would ordinarily be all-black, there is a clash with Brentford’s outfit, as the Bees pair their red-and-white striped shirts with black shorts and socks when playing at home.”
“So, for this game only, United will wear yellow socks and shorts.”
Bryan Mbeumo will be coming up against his former teammates for the first time since joining United in the summer.
Kick-off is at 12:30 pm.
