Official: One return as Real Madrid name squad to face Athletic Club | OneFootball

La Liga champions Real Madrid have on Tuesday unveiled the club’s travelling squad to face Athletic Club tomorrow night.

And it features one altogether noteworthy return.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are primed to return to action on Wednesday, hopeful of keeping the pressure on Barcelona courtesy of a 4th La Liga victory on the spin.

And in efforts towards as much, the Blancos’ coaching staff will be able to call upon Aurélien Tchouaméni once more.

Midfielder Tchouaméni has for his part been sidelined since early last month, owing to an ankle injury suffered during a Champions League meeting with AC Milan.

Spotted back in training over recent days, though, hope was sparked that the France international could be given the medical green light to make the trip to San Mamés.

And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday afternoon, precisely as much was confirmed:

Carlo Ancelotti has since confirmed that Tchouaméni could even feature from the off against Athletic Club.
