Fresh off kicking the new year into gear with a remarkable comeback victory over Valencia, Los Blancos will turn their attentions towards the Copa del Rey, in a meeting with the aforementioned Deportivo Minera.

The matchup represents a potential chance for some of the next crop of up-and-coming talent in Spain’s capital to showcase their talents.

And Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff have therefore opted to call up a whole host of academy youngsters.

The squad of players set to be tasked by Real Madrid with getting the better of minnows Deportivo Minera was on Sunday afternoon unveiled online.

And it features all of Fran González, Sergio Mestre, Lorenzo and Diego Aguado, Chema and Gonzalo García.

First-team stars Thibaut Courtois and Antonio Rüdiger, on the other hand, are left out entirely.
