Real Madrid will look to regain their spot at the top of the league table as they take on Getafe at the Coliseum this evening.
With little more than an hour remaining, the club have officially announced their starting eleven that will take on Jose Bordalas’ men.
Unsurprisingly, Xabi Alonso has made a few changes from the team that secured a 3-1 win over Villarreal before the international break, as he keeps one eye on the midweek contest against Juventus.
With Dean Huijsen out injured, Alonso has gone for a David Alaba and Eder Militao pairing in central defence while Federico Valverde continues at right-back, despite publicly admitting that he doesn’t enjoy playing in the position.
At left-back, Ferland Mendy wasn’t included in the team despite returning to training. That means he isn’t fully fit. Nevertheless, Alvaro Carreras was always going to be a surefire starter.
The midfield has seen a complete makeover, with Arda Guler and Dani Ceballos settling for a place on the bench. Jude Bellingham returns and will operate alongside Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in the middle of the park.
Kylian Mbappe leads the line as usual, but Vinicius Junior has been dropped in favour of Rodrygo while Franco Mastantuono retain his position on the flanks.
