Official: Sevilla part ways with Victor Orta | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Sevilla have early this week opted to part ways with a leading member of the club’s board.

The individual in question? Victor Orta.

Orta, for his part, has been on the books of Sevilla since the summer of 2023, acting as sporting director after a six-year stint in England with Leeds United.

Recent months, however, have seen the Madrid native come under increasing pressure.

Amid the struggles endured by Sevilla on the pitch, the entire board at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán have been targeted by furious sections of the club’s fanbase.

Orta, amongst others, has been urged to vacate his post, to allow for a new era to be ushered in in Nervión.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, those of a Sevilla persuasion eager for change have seen their wishes at least partly granted.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Sevilla and director Victor Orta part ways with immediate effect.’
