Former president Pablo Longoria has left Olympique de Marseille. The club said in a Monday morning statement that McCourt Global and Longoria had agreed the terms of his departure.

Longoria arrived in July 2020 as executive director general. He was promoted to president less than a year later, following Jacques-Henri Eyraud’s exit in February 2021.

During his tenure, Marseille reached the Europa Conference League semi-finals in 2022 and the Europa League semi-finals in 2024.

They also featured in the Champions League twice, in 2022-2023 and 2025-2026, but struggled in the competition and did not win a domestic trophy.

Longoria was demoted in February after an internal reorganisation that followed head coach Roberto de Zerbi’s departure. Alban Juster then succeeded him as club president.
