Emerson returns for OM, Jérémy Jacquet starts for Rennes, and Geronimo Rulli is on the bench for their Coupe de France round of 16 tie at the Vélodrome, kick-off at 21h10.
According to L'Équipe, Roberto De Zerbi has made several bold calls. Emerson comes back after weeks out, while Benjamin Pavard is again among the substitutes, for the third match running, in addition to a suspension. In attack, Igor Paixao starts ahead of Hamed Junior Traoré, and Amine Gouiri is preferred to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with Jeffrey de Lange in goal.
OM: De Lange - Weah, Balerdi (cap.), Medina, Emerson - Höjbjerg, Timber - Nwaneri, Greenwood, Paixao - Gouiri.
For Rennes, Habib Beye has sprung surprises. Glen Kamara is handed his first start of the season, with Mousa Al-Tamari and Esteban Lepaul also selected. Jacquet, transferred to Liverpool but set to finish the season in Brittany, is included.
It remains to be seen whether Rennes set up with a back four and a diamond in midfield or a more traditional 5-3-2.
Rennes: Samba (cap.) - Seidu, Jacquet, Rouault, Aït-Boudlal, Merlin - M. Camara, G. Kamara Szymanski -Al-Tamari, Lepaul.
