One Real Madrid star ‘has been asked to improve’ after recent performances | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has been directly requested to improve one aspect of his game over the weeks ahead.

That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Dean Huijsen as the player in question.

Stopper Huijsen is for his part of course sidelined at present, owing to a calf injury.

Prior to as much, though, the summer arrival from Bournemouth had quickly established himself as a key figure in Real Madrid’s backline.

Huijsen was widely hailed for the level of his performances in the immediate aftermath of his signing with Los Blancos.

More recent weeks, however, actually saw the 20-year-old targeted with regular criticism, as a result of more than one high-profile mistake.

And as alluded to above, as much, evidently, did not go overlooked on the part of Xabi Alonso and his staff.

As per a report from The Athletic, in fact:

‘Sources say Huijsen has been specifically asked to improve his concentration in order to develop his great potential.’
