Real Madrid are staring at an important summer where there are significant changes expected to the squad after back-to-back seasons with no major trophies.
One of the transfers that is seemingly being taken for granted is the return of youngster Nico Paz from Como 1907.
The Merengues have a €9 million buyback clause for the La Fabrica graduate which they are expected to activate and bring him back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Despite this, Como remain hopeful of retaining the Argentine star’s services for another year, especially after having qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Speaking to the media earlier today, Como president Mirwan Suwarso commented on the possibility of keeping Nico at the club for one more year.
The Serie A club chief put the entire responsibility on Real Madrid, stating that they had not communicated their decision on the Argentine youngster so far.
“Nico Paz to stay one more year? Only Real Madrid can decide. We are waiting. It’s on them,” Suwarso said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Despite Como’s intentions of keeping Nico at the club for one more season, that possibility seems unlikely as things stand.

Even though Real Madrid will still have a buyback clause, worth €10 million, on their former academy gem for 2027, the club’s idea is to bring him back home this summer.
Los Blancos are very happy with how Nico has developed in his two seasons with the Italian club, having established himself as one of the most exciting young players in Serie A.
As such, they are eager to have him back at Valdebebas, irrespective of who wins the presidential elections tomorrow and who is named the next first-team manager.
