West Ham’s 4-0 win over Wolves has shaken up the relegation fight as Opta refreshes its predicted final Premier League table.

The Hammers began the weekend third-bottom, one point behind Tottenham, three off Nottingham Forest and four adrift of Leeds United, playing first on Friday night at home to the league’s bottom side. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the result has triggered the latest projections.

After 41 goalless minutes, Taty Castellanos and Konstantinos Mavropanos each struck twice to seal an emphatic 4-0. The victory moved West Ham out of the drop zone at Tottenham’s expense.

For the first time this season, Spurs are in the relegation places, two points behind West Ham. The Hammers are level with Forest and one behind Leeds, who visit Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Tottenham travel to Sunderland on Sunday afternoon in Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge. Forest host Aston Villa at the same time, both 2pm kick-offs.

Opta’s model now has Arsenal first on 85 points, with Manchester City second on 75. Manchester United are projected 66, Aston Villa 65, Liverpool 60 and Chelsea 58.
