Leila Ouahabi has become the latest player in Manchester City’s history to make a century of senior appearances.
The Spain international reached the milestone in our Barclays Women’s Super League clash with Leicester, featuring as a second half substitute.
She’s only the 22nd player in our professional era to reach 100 appearances, and the seventh member of our current squad alongside Lauren Hemp, Alex Greenwood, Laura Coombs, Bunny Shaw, Yui Hasegawa and Kerstin Casparij.
Joining the Club from Barcelona, Ouahabi made her debut in a UEFA Champions League qualifier win over WFC Tomiris-Turan in August 2022.
A dependable and experienced full-back, Leila has been a key figure in her three-and-a-half years at City so far in both defensive and attacking situations.
Indeed, only Casparij has registered more assists among City’s defenders during Ouahabi’s time at the Club, with the Spain international grabbing 11 in total.
She’s also found the net twice in her Blues career, with her first coming just 24 seconds into a 5-0 WSL win over West Ham United in April 2024.
Her second and most recent goal would follow in an FA Cup win over Leicester City in February 2025.
But now Ouahabi has reached another significant milestone in her career so far in Manchester, as City push for a first WSL title since 2016.
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Leila on making her 100th appearance for Manchester City.
