Joao Palhinha’s stoppage-time strike earned Tottenham a dramatic late point as Wolves remain without a Premier League win after a 1-1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mohammed Kudus thought he’d opened his account for Spurs, but Sam Johnstone came up with a stunning save, tipping the midfielder’s header onto the bar from close range.
The former West Ham did manage to find the net in the 27th minute, though it was ruled out for offside.
Despite not having a shot on target in the first half, the visitors nearly went in front right before the break when Matt Doherty’s effort from a tight angle clipped the post.
It took less than 10 minutes of the second half for Wolves to take the lead. A Jhon Arias corner caused chaos in the Spurs box, and Santiago Bueno reacted fastest to poke home his first goal for the club, sending the away supporters into celebration.
Spurs pressed for an equaliser but struggled to create clear-cut chances, largely restricted to long-range efforts.
Vitor Pereira's side appeared set to claim all three points until Palhinha stepped up in the 94th minute, curling a precise finish from the edge of the area to snatch a late point for the hosts.
