Palmeiras open their 2026 Brasileirão campaign at 19:00 on Wednesday away to Atlético-MG at Arena MRV, with three absences, one addition and uncertainty over Raphael Veiga. They travel with a 30-man group and a near-empty medical department.

According to Globo.com, four players who ended 2025 at the club have departed, with Aníbal Moreno sold to River Plate, Micael to Inter Miami, Facundo Torres to Austin FC and Weverton allowed to join Grêmio on a free.

Raphael Veiga may yet add to that list, as América of Mexico have kept in contact with his representatives, though no formal offer has been made to Palmeiras.

Since the season began less than a month ago, Andreas Pereira accelerated his recovery to feature in the weekend’s Choque-Rei, as did Felipe Anderson. Both bolster Palmeiras at the start of the league.

Lucas Evangelista and Figueiredo are in physical transition and edging closer to a return, while only Paulinho remains in physiotherapy after leg surgery.
