According to Globo.com, Palmeiras defender Murilo and fitness coach Marco Aurelio Schiavo Reis have been charged by the STJD and will face first instance hearings on Friday.
Murilo could be prosecuted under article 258 of the CBJD for conduct contrary to sporting ethics, a charge carrying a ban of one to six matches. Referee Felipe Fernandes Lima wrote in his report that Murilo said the officiating was a disgrace after being sent off in Sunday’s win over Athletico, having received two yellow cards for similar fouls.
Marco Aurelio Schiavo Reis has been cited under the alternative provision of article 258, which covers entering the officials’ area or the field of play during a match, including half-time. He could receive a suspension of one to three matches.
The fitness coach helped with a throw-in that preceded Marlon Freitas’s second goal against Grêmio, sealing a 2-1 Palmeiras win in Barueri.
In the same game, Palmeiras were also cited under article 191 of the CBJD for returning late from the interval, an offence that can result in a fine.
The cases arrive amid tension between Palmeiras and the STJD, with head coach Abel Ferreira given a seven-match suspension at second instance.
