Palmeiras have made the fewest signings among Série A clubs for 2026, according to Footlink's analysis of confirmed deals to date.

To this point the club have announced only Marlon Freitas. Rivals such as Flamengo and Cruzeiro, and lower-budget sides including Mirassol, Vitória and Remo, rank among the most active with multiple arrivals.

The cautious stance aligns with a long-held strategy, prioritising continuity and targeted tweaks rather than sweeping overhauls. Internally, the view is that the current squad remains competitive after recent seasons of domestic prominence.

Financial discipline also underpins the policy. President Leila Pereira and football director Anderson Barros have reiterated that Palmeiras move only for genuinely strategic opportunities, aiming to avoid inflating deals.

Despite only one reinforcement so far, the club are monitoring the market and do not rule out fresh business before the window closes. Any additions are likely to be surgical and tied to specific positions.
