Palmeiras receive Austin FC bid for Facundo Torres, ‘to pay’ about US$ 9.5 million

Palmeiras have received an offer from Austin FC for Facundo Torres, with the MLS side willing to pay about US$ 9.5 million, around R$ 51 million, The Athletic reports.

Talks are ongoing. Palmeiras are also negotiating a potential sale of Luighi, with interested clubs not disclosed.

Torres joined last year from Orlando City in the United States for around R$ 70 million. He featured regularly but did not fully convince, recording 61 appearances, 10 goals and four assists.

At the end of the season, Abel Ferreira said he would prefer not to move him, the same stance he took on Sosa, who arrived in 2025. The Austin proposal could yet alter those plans.

A regular in Uruguay squads, the number 17 has not appeared this season for Palmeiras due to a left thigh injury sustained in pre-season.
