Palmeiras will resume training on Wednesday 24, beginning roughly a month of work aimed at the season's run-in.
According to Nosso Palestra, Abel Ferreira's staff plan to use the block to rehabilitate players, sharpen fitness and fine-tune tactics for a congested finish.
A key focus is the recovery of those who have dealt with physical issues, including forward Vitor Roque. The club also intends to lift fitness levels for core squad members and manage workloads for heavy-minute players.
Attention also turns to Paulinho. The number 10, back this season, should receive minutes gradually, with a tailored plan to build rhythm after a serious injury in 2025.
Individual assessments await those at the World Cup with their national teams. Staff are tracking minutes and fatigue to set return dates and bespoke preparation.
Palmeiras have seven representatives at the tournament, among the most in Brazil. Paraguay feature midfielders Mauricio and Ramón Sosa and defender Gustavo Gómez, Argentina include forward Flaco López, Uruguay have Emiliano Martínez and Joaquín Piquerez, and Colombia are represented by Jhon Arias.
