Panthère Sportive du Ndé responds in turn following the incidents that marred the Trophée des Champions. The club has also released a statement rejecting allegations of referee influence made by Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo and is demanding evidence.

Panthère Sportive de Ndé has issued a clarification regarding the premature interruption of the Trophée des Champions match. In a statement, the Ndé club expressed its "disappointment" at the remarks made by Colombe's general secretary, published on February 26, 2026, which quickly went viral on social media.

At the heart of the controversy are accusations that a prominent figure from the Ndé department influenced the match officials. Panthère has dismissed these claims as "lies," calling the attack "serious and irresponsible."

The penalty: the turning point

According to Panthère's account, the match shifted after a penalty was awarded in their favor and then converted. The club insists the referee's decision was in line with the rules, stating that match footage clearly shows the foul that led to the sanction.

The statement further claims that Colombe left the pitch following this incident, making it impossible for the match to continue.

Flashback to the Cameroon Cup final

Panthère is quick to point out past incidents. They specifically reference the Cameroon Cup final played on December 14, 2025, at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, where Colombe, according to Panthère, was awarded a "generous" penalty.

The Ndé club also recalls a penalty that was denied to them in that same final, highlighting what they see as selective outrage.

Demand for proof and a call for calm

Panthère further asserts that the prominent figure mentioned in the accusations was not present in Bandjoun during a previous clash between the two teams, thereby disputing any possibility of interference. Believing that Colombe is merely seeking to justify its poor early-season performances, the club's management is demanding concrete evidence to support these claims. They also declare their willingness to cooperate with the relevant authorities in order to "restore the truth."
