Paraná referee Lucas Casagrande will take charge of Corinthians v Remo at Neo Química Arena on Thursday at 19:30 in the 19th round. It is his first Corinthians assignment in nearly a year, as the club return from the World Cup break.

According to Meu Timao, this will be only his second Corinthians match as referee. The first was in 2025, a 2-1 Brasileirão defeat to Juventude at Estádio Alfredo Jaconi.

On that night, the 26-year-old dismissed Ángel Romero for aggressive conduct after a VAR review identified a push on a Juventude player. He also cautioned four Corinthians players on the pitch and one on the bench, plus seven from Juventude and the Juventude masseur.

Casagrande resumed in 2026 after a brief spell out late last year following controversy in Grêmio v Bragantino in the 27th round. He sent off Grêmio defender Kanneman for alleged aggression, a call that angered the club and drew media criticism at the time.

So far this year he has overseen 19 CBF fixtures across the Copa do Brasil and Série A and B, plus six matches in the Campeonato Paranaense, including the final between Operário and Londrina.

For Thursday’s game, his assistants are Guilherme Dias Camilo and Rafael Trombeta. Alisson Sidnei Furtado is the fourth official, with Charly Wendy Straub Deretti on VAR.

Corinthians beat Grêmio 3-1 in the last round before the World Cup pause, a result that moved them away from the relegation zone and closer to the G8.
