Angers SCO striker Sidiki Cherif (19) is reportedly favouring a move to Crystal Palace FC as the race to sign the promising 19-year-old heats up amid interest from Paris FC and Eintracht Frankfurt, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The Conakry-born centre-forward has caught the eye of several European outfits with his displays for Alexandre Dujeux’s Angers. Cherif has logged four goals since the start of the Ligue 1 season.
Dujeux himself confirmed that Cherif will certainly join a more ambitious club as early as this winter given Le Sco are not in a position to turn down any lucrative bids, given their dire financial situation. Angers are said to commend a €30m transfer fee for the sale of Cherif. The Ligue 1 side have already turned down two bids from Paris FC.
Les Parisiens retain an interest in Cherif, but Eintracht Frankfurt have also made their move. Die Adler previously submitted a bid for a loan with option to buy, and now the Bundesliga side have upped their proposal as they intend to sign Cherif on a permanent basis.
Tavolieri reports that, out of the clubs that registered an interest in him, Cherif currently favours a move to Crystal Palace. The 19-year-old is reportedly attracted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
