Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho, according to the Times.
The Ligue 1 club were previously linked with Red Devils academy graduate Marcus Rashford, but they are no longer keen on him and now want to sign his teammate.
However, they have yet to make an offer for Garnacho, and it is unclear if they will approach Man United for talks during the ongoing January transfer window.
The Argentina international is also on Atletico Madrid’s radar. However, they are reluctant to make a move for the 20-year-old left winger as they have other areas they want to prioritise.
Man United have maintained that they are not pushing Garnacho or Kobbie Mainoo – who has been linked with Chelsea – out of the club.
The need to raise money to make new recruitment as they close in on the limits under the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) has made selling the two youngsters a possibility.
However, selling Rashford and Casemiro this month could help them hold onto Garnacho and Mainoo beyond this window and into next summer when more departures are guaranteed.
The Argentine has fallen out of favour under manager Ruben Amorim. While remaining at the club will be best for his development, a move to PSG could be appealing if they table a juicy bid.
They have established themselves as perennial league winners and are hoping to start challenging strongly for the Champions League.
They need to replace Kylian Mbappe to boost their chances in Europe, and they could see Garnacho as the perfect player to succeed the Frenchman.
Amorim has proven that no player is undroppable at Man United and many people will not be surprised if he sanctions a sale for the Argentine in January.
