Manchester United continue to look towards Serie A for their goalkeepers, as after interest in Milan’s Mike Maignan, they are now intensifying their pursuit of Parma’s Japan international Zion Suzuki.
The Premier League side hasn’t had the best luck with shot-stoppers, having spent over €50m to sign Andre Onana from Inter only to see him struggle.
Now they are seeking replacements in the summer and once again turning to Italian football for inspiration.
Their first choice would be Maignan, who is in negotiations to extend his current contract with Milan, but this would be a very expensive approach.

Spanish newspaper As instead claims that Manchester United are pushing harder for Suzuki, who is doing well at Parma following their promotion from Serie B.
The 22-year-old is a Japan international who was born in the USA and made the move to Parma from Belgian club VV Sint-Truiden for €7.5m plus bonuses last summer.
There is believed to be a release clause in his contract allowing him to leave Parma for €40m at the end of the season.
