Patrice Evra urges Man Utd to go all out for Victor Osimhen | OneFootball

Patrice Evra has urged Manchester United to target Victor Osimhen this summer, calling the Galatasaray striker the one signing he would prioritise.

"Osimhen. I have all due respect for Galatasaray, the love he gets there and what the player is like." Evra told Goal.com.

"Man United need a proper striker, and I have so much respect for the strikers at Man United, sometimes [Bryan] Mbuemo. But, back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to play every competition, you need more strikers."

"Of course, you need some defenders, like an extra left back, because you could have an injury and a right-back. Of course, Casemiro is leaving, so you need to replace those players. To name one player, I say Osimhen because I know these guys can make the difference."

The 27-year-old Nigeria international has been linked with English clubs for several windows. He won Serie A with Napoli, then moved to Istanbul after a productive loan, and has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances for Gala.

Whether United pursue him could hinge on their No 9 plans, with Benjamin Sesko arriving for £74 million in 2025 and hitting 12 goals in his first season. Former striker Louis Saha has argued that Osimhen has the character and European pedigree to lead the line at Old Trafford, pointing to goals in France, a title in Italy and prolific form with Galatasaray in Türkiye. He believes the forward would be transformational for United and would have a huge impact if signed.
