Paulo Fonseca not satisfied with Endrick card decision | OneFootball

According to Le Progres, Endrick’s direct red card at Nantes has been reclassified as a second booking by the disciplinary commission, carrying a one-match suspension to be served on Sunday against Nice. Lyon head coach Paulo Fonseca remains unhappy and is seeking clarity over the call and the handling of his 19-year-old Brazilian forward.

Fonseca continues to question the consistency of the officiating, saying he is not satisfied with how the incidents were interpreted. He stresses he does not want to criticise, only to understand why a red was shown and later considered a yellow, and why the process still feels unclear.

The coach said he has spoken with Endrick and that the teenager is fine.

He believes the forward needs to learn, adding that what happened forms part of his development.

Fonseca also notes that Endrick is highly exposed because of his talent, and that care is required with interpretations around him.
