Pedro Porro has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spain international has reached an agreement on a new contract at Spurs that will run until June 2031, with the option for a further season. The deal will include a salary increase and has been rubber stamped between Spurs and the player’s agent.
Several sides had expressed tentative interest in Porro, following Tottenham’s failure to secure European football.
Former side Manchester City had been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, while Real Madrid had been named as suitors prior to the club’s move for Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Spurs never considered a sale with Porro deemed ‘untouchable’ in North London.
The right-back has made 152 appearances for Spurs since signing from Sporting CP in a deal worth €45m in January 2023.
