Scott Minto has hit out at under-fire Tottenham Hotspur manager Igor Tudor for not being able to get the best out of the team and believes that the club now need someone who is a ‘proper Spurs person’.
Tottenham were subjected to yet another humiliating 5-2 loss at the hands of Atletico Madrid to leave their hopes of progressing in the Champions League hanging by a thread.
It was a night of misery for the Tottenham defence, as goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky and Micky van de Ven were guilty of gifting the home side three goals within the first 17 minutes.
Minto, who has already given a damning assessment of Tottenham by claiming that they are buckling under pressure, is critical of the manager, who he believes has been allowed enough time to put his mark on the team.
Giving instances of other managers who have had to play more games within a limited period of time, Minto said on talkSPORT (10th March, 21:49): “He [Tudor] has had plenty of time on the training pitch.
“There are a lot of managers out there who have games every three days.

“He has had three weeks, he has had the ability to get them and do the coaching.
“I don’t believe that there is not a plan, there is not a way of saying that ‘this is how I want to you play’
“But once they go past that white line, where they are mentally right now, these Spurs players, they are just not able to wear the shirt, it is just too heavy for them at the moment.”
The ball is now in the court of the Tottenham hierarchy to take drastic steps to make sure that the freefall can be stopped, according to Minto and for that a proper Tottenham person needs to be roped in.
“People laughed and people scoffed at bringing in a Harry Redknapp or a Glenn Hoddle, and if they had been brought in and this would have happened, then they would have been more of a laughing stock.

“Well, you have gone down the analytical let’s bring someone who is supposedly a firefighter that could do the immediate job to turn a negative into a positive – he has not been able to do that.
“Maybe it is time, again I talk about desperate times call for desperate measures, maybe it is time for a proper Spurs person to be in charge.”
Tottenham now have two more big games coming up, starting with the one against Liverpool at the weekend and then the Champions League last 16 return leg against Atletico Madrid the following Wednesday.
There is discontent inside the Tottenham camp with the hierarchy drawing the wrath of the fans as well.
Former star Ramon Vega has called for the sacking of CEO Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange.
