PSV beat Heracles 3-1 in Almelo on Saturday to remain Eredivisie leaders, built by a ruthless first half burst before a late reply from the hosts.
In the ninth minute, Ivan Perišić converted from the spot after Sergiño Dest drew a foul. Ismael Saibari then curled in from outside the box (12.). Dennis Man glanced in Joey Veerman's set piece cross to the bottom corner (40.).
Remko Pasveer kept the score down with a string of saves either side of the interval. The Boeren registered 15 shots on target from 24 attempts, underlining their control.
Heracles improved after the restart and Lequincio Zeefuik rifled into the top left from range, teed up by Erik Ahlstrand (80.). Pasveer later denied Ricardo Pepi and Couhaib Driouech as the visitors kept pressing.
The result leaves Heracles bottom in the relegation places. Next, Heracles host Utrecht in the league. The Boeren visit NEC Nijmegen in the KNVB Beker semi finals before returning to Eredivisie action.
