Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has tonight found himself as the subject of a new internet meme.

As much comes owing to developments in Real Madrid’s showdown with Liverpool.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a highly-anticipated Champions League meeting with Premier League table-toppers Liverpool.

As things stand with 45 minutes on the clock at Anfield, the two sides remain deadlocked at 0-0.

This does not come owing to a lack of trying on the part of either, though.

And it was amid one such attempt on the part of visitors Real that culminated in the aforementioned Mbappé being condemned to an unwanted viral moment.

As frontman Mbappé surged into the Liverpool half towards goal, the Frenchman was met by Reds captain Virgil van Dijk.

And, safe to say, the latter was in no mood to take prisoners…

Completely missing the ball, Van Dijk floored Mbappé with a body check, sending the summer arrival in Spain flailing upside down, and onto his head.
