FC Barcelona lost one of their most important defenders during the last summer transfer window as Inigo Martinez left to join the Saudi side Al-Nassr. Although they have been able to go through this season without bringing any new replacement for him, they are intending to still bolster their defense in the next summer transfer window.
As a result, they have been linked with several center-backs in the last few weeks, the most prominent of them being the Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni.
Another defender who has been linked with them to some extent recently is the Croatian center-back Luka Vuskovic, who belongs to Tottenham Hotspur, but played this season on loan with Hamburg in the Bundesliga.
In the latest development regarding him, SPORT reports that the agent, Pini Zahavi, who is currently in Barcelona, is pushing the Catalan club to sign his client, even though Hansi Flick does not see the player as a priority.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are also not too keen to sell him, but they can be relegated this season, which could result in several of their players leaving, including Vuskovic.
Luka Vuskovic has grown by leaps and bounds this season, having seen his value increase from €15 million to €60 million. There is no doubt that he would be an interesting signing for Barcelona, but it remains to be seen whether the Catalans would give in to Pini Zahavi’s insistence and end up signing him.
