It ended 1-1 between Roma and the Juventus Women’s First Team in their Serie A Women Matchday 8 clash in the capital on Saturday.

THE MATCH REPORT

The Bianconere started the match poorly, finding themselves behind after 13 minutes in Rome. Bergamaschi, the former Juventus player, broke the deadlock, taking advantage of Giada Greggi's pass to find the top corner with a right-footed shot from the edge of the box.

Juventus responded in the 26th minute with a shot from outside the box by Amalie Vangsgaard that went wide, which did not trouble Rachele Baldi, unlike Lia Walti's corner kick after half an hour that tested the Roma goalkeeper.

The first half ended with the hosts leading 1-0.

In the second half, Massimiliano Canzi tried to turn things around by making substitutions, bringing on Chiara Beccari, Cristiana Girelli and Tatiana Pinto to inject fresh energy and alternative options.

In the 61st minute, Emma Stolen Godo had a glorious opportunity when she was picked out by Estela Carbonell's cross from the left, but she failed to hit the target with her header.

The equaliser felt like it was on the way, and it came in the 70th minute thanks to excellent play by Stolen Godo. She slalomed through the penalty area and sent in a low cross that was parried by Baldi, but Tatiana Pinto pounced on the rebound to score the equaliser and make it 1-1.

The Giallorosse's response came once again from Bergamaschi, who headed the ball from the penalty spot in the 74th minute but failed to hit the target in a match that was intense and fast-paced from both sides.

In the final minutes, Juventus pushed harder (with a great chance for Paulina Krumbiegel in stoppage time), but were unable to find the back of the net again, thus picking up their second draw of the season in the league and moving up to 14 points in the standings, five behind Roma.
