Plata set for separate training at Flamengo today | OneFootball

Gonzalo Plata missed Flamengo’s morning training on Thursday after travelling to São Paulo to deal with work visa procedures. He is scheduled to return to Rio de Janeiro later the same day and is expected to work on a separate schedule at Ninho do Urubu.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the winger flew out in the morning, which ruled him out of group activities. With Thursday’s session set for 11:30 Brasília time, the plan is for Plata to complete tasks set by the staff in the afternoon or evening.

Plata was among the substitutes but unused in the win over Cruzeiro. He did not come on under head coach Leonardo Jardim.

In his press conference, Jardim said the Ecuadorian is not at 100 per cent, citing knee pain.

Flamengo are next in action on Saturday 14, away to Botafogo in the sixth round of the Brasileirão. Kick-off at Estádio Nilton Santos is 20:30 Brasília time, with Plata in the squad.
