Player ratings: Bologna 1-0 Inter – Magic Orsolini and impressive Rossoblu defence | OneFootball

Inter lost their status as the outright leaders of the Serie A table after a 1-0 defeat away against Bologna on Easter Sunday thanks to a late, late moment of Riccardo Orsolini magic, which helps put the Rossoblu back into the top four with five games left to play.

Bologna (4-2-3-1): Ravaglia 6; Holm 6.5, Lucumi 7, Beukema 6.5, Miranda 7; Freuler 6, Aebischer 6.5 (Moro n/a); Ndoye 5.5 (Cambiaghi 6), Odgaard 6 (Fabbian n/a), Dominguez 6 (Orsolini 7); Dallinga 5.5 (Castro 6).

Best Bologna player: Jhon Lucumi 7 – An excellent defensive display from the Colombia international, who completed 100% of his attempted tackles and also made three interceptions across the 90, a tally only bettered by Rossoblu teammate Remo Freuler. Worthy mentions to Emil Holm, who prevented an almost-certain goa,  and of course, to the late match winner Riccardo Orsolini, who won it at the death with an incredible piece of improvised, acrobatic skill off the bench.

Coach: Vincenzo Italiano 7 – Bologna’s overall performance was great and worthy of the three points. A game plan executed almost perfectly. The only thing preventing Italiano from receiving a higher rating was his rather needless sending off in the second half, which means that he will have to sit out of next weekend’s game against Udinese, which is not ideal at the crucial stage of a top four race.

Best Inter player: Hakan Calhanoglu 7 – Inter’s most creative outlet at the Dall’Ara with six key passes provided on the day. He also had more possession of the ball than any other midfielder on the pitch over the course of the 90. An irreplaceable part of Simone Inzaghi’s system: The Turk has now started in 10 consecutive matches across all competitions, many of which have been midweek.

Coach: Simone Inzaghi 6 – A really tough one to take for the Nerazzurri coach, who was 30 seconds away from going home with a valuable point that would have kept Inter as the outright leaders at the top of the Serie A table. Unfortunately, his side were under the cosh towards the end of the second half, and the levels of concentration dropped for that one crucial moment that led to Orsolini’s overhead kick.
