Lazio and Udinese shared a breathless 3-3 that nudged them up to eighth in Serie A. According to The Laziali, the player ratings were headlined by a superb cameo from Pedro.
Kingsley Ehizibue netted the first-half opener. After the interval, Luca Pellegrini thundered in the leveller and Pedro curled Lazio in front, before Arthur Atta struck twice to turn it around. Maldini then salvaged a point at the death.
Edoardo Motta mixed excellent stops from Jakub Piotrowski and Nicolo Zaniolo with a spill before Udinese’s second. Manuel Lazzari struggled, undone by Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and beaten in the air by Vakoun Bayo. Alessio Romagnoli was largely sound, though Adam Buksa escaped once and his late header hit the post.
Oliver Provstgaard had composed spells but looked uneasy against Zaniolo. Pellegrini ended a two-year drought with a screamer and released Tijjani Noslin smartly, yet he lost too many duels with Ehizibue.
Toma Basic improved and created Pedro’s goal, while Patric blocked well but offered little in build-up. Kenneth Taylor had his poorest outing since arriving, slow to close on the opener. Matteo Cancellieri was lively and diligent, booked for a sliding tackle.
Boulaye Dia was quiet and withdrawn at half-time, Noslin lacked sharpness and lifted his best chance. From the bench, Pedro, 38, crossed for Gustav Isaksen and bent in Lazio’s second. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru improved the midfield but missed a big chance, and Isaksen hit the woodwork.
