Southampton will restore Finn Azaz to the starting line-up at Swansea City this afternoon as they look to extend their unbeaten run in Wales to 19 matches. Tonda Eckert is expected to make five changes from the side that beat Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday.

According to Sainstmarching.com, Saints are set to line up in a 4-2-3-1. Daniel Peretz starts in goal after a quiet outing against Blackburn, and the back four should be James Bree, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Jack Stephens and Ryan Manning. Bree was rested after the interval on Tuesday, when Harwood-Bellis covered at right-back, and Manning also had a short breather.

Flynn Downes will return alongside Caspar Jander in central midfield. Downes brings bite and the odd goal, while Jander offers a more refined passing game and relies on Downes’ defensive cover when he breaks forward.

Kuryu Matsuki is likely to start on the right for a tough away assignment, so Tom Fellows may be among the substitutes. Azaz takes the central attacking role after injury. Léo Scienza should keep his place on the left after setting up Cameron Archer on Tuesday, with depth available in that area.

Ross Stewart is expected to lead the line as the lone striker. Southampton might see more of the ball at Swansea, which should suit him.
