Victor Boniface could leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer after a failed move away from the club in January.

Boniface came close to joining Al-Nassr in the January transfer window, but a deal broke down as the Saudi Pro League side instead signed Jhon Duran from Aston Villa.

The Nigeria international scored 21 goals in all competitions during his debut campaign with Leverkusen, as the German side won a maiden Bundesliga title. He was name Bundesliga Rookie of the Season for 2023/24, after shining following his arrival from Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise.

His second season saw injuries impact Boniface and he made just 12 league starts. Patrik Schick’s form also contributed to Boniface’s lack of minutes, though the 24-year-old returned eight Bundesliga goals.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that an exit from Leverkusen remains an option if the Bundesliga side receive a suitable offer. There is interest in Boniface from across Europe, with several Premier League sides understood to be monitoring his situation.

Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham and West Ham have previously been linked with Boniface, who is valued at around €50m (£42.1m) at the BayArena.
