Salah has won the Football Writers Association player of the year award and could do the double, having scored 28 goals in 36 league games this season to fire the Reds to the title.

Gravenbech, meanwhile, has excelled in a holding midfield role under Arne Slot, winning 176 duels, making 67 tackles and 57 interceptions, and has also contributed in attack with four assists.

Also joining them on the list are Nottingham Forest duo Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood, Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.

Gibbs-White and Wood have proved crucial in Forest’s unexpected qualification for Europe.

Wood has scored 20 goals in 34 league games this season, with his 31.75 per cent conversion rate making him the most efficient finisher of any player this season with more than two goals.

And Gibbs-White has scored six and set up another eight, while also creating 50 chances, according to the Premier League stats.

Isak has enjoyed another productive year, netting 23 goals in 33 games to help bring the Magpies to the cusp of Champions League qualification.

Mbeumo has scored 18 goals in 36 games and notched seven assists as part of a Brentford team which could still qualify for Europe, with his 25 direct goal involvements the third-most in the Premier League.

And Rice has been a key part of an Arsenal side which again look set to finish as runners up in the Premier League, playing 33 times and recording ten goal contributions.
