The race for Champions League football threw up further twists and turns in the Premier League this week.
And our standout player from the action on matchday 36 was...
Crystal Palace's hopes of a late surge to secure a top half finish were boosted away to Tottenham thanks to the performance of their star man.
Eze netted twice in a 2-0 win against the Europa League finalists to extend the Eagles' unbeaten run.
It also continued his own impressive purple patch, with the 26-year-old having now netted in three straight Premier League games for the first time in his career.
When accounting for all competitions, his run now stands at four-in-a-row.
Although his first of the afternoon was one of the simplest goals he'll ever score, his second showcased everything he does so well.
Picking the ball up on the edge of his own penalty area, he kickstarted a swift counter-attack by surging forward effortlessly and when the ball came back his way inside the area, he was the coolest man in north London by sweeping into the corner and secure the three points.
His latest heroics come just a week after it was revealed that Eze had won £15,000 as the victor in a hotly-contested celebrity chess competition.
That isn't bad going at all when you consider that he only recently picked up the past-time from team-mate Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Is there anything he can't do?
Spurs may have been understrength and undercooked with bigger games ahead but it shouldn't take anything away from the playmaker's performance.
"It was a big performance and we did everything we needed to do," Eze told reporters afterwards. "We're confident. We just need to be the best version of ourselves."
Next up for the Eagles is an FA Cup final showdown against Manchester City as they look to lift the trophy for the first time in their history after two previous losses at this stage of the competition.
With Eze in this kind of form, it could well be check mate at Wembley.
