A busy weekend in the summer window delivered more major deals among Leeds United’s Premier League rivals, with Tottenham spending £100m on a new midfielder, Newcastle signing a winger and Sunderland losing a £21.5m star.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Arsenal have made Piero Hincapie’s move from Bayer Leverkusen permanent for £25m. Jakub Kiwior has joined Porto and Karl Hein has moved to Werder Bremen after loans, with Samuel Onyekachukwu among eight players released.

Aston Villa have a pre-contract agreement for Modou Keba Cisse, and Sil Swinkels has joined Sheffield Wednesday. Bournemouth have appointed Marco Rose head coach, seen Marcos Senesi join Tottenham, and Luis Sinisterra complete a permanent move to Cruizeiro after a loan, with Romain Faivre, Michael Dacosta Gonzalez and Hamed Traore also departing. Andoni Iraola has left for Liverpool.

Brentford have signed Jannik Schuster from Red Bull Salzburg for £17.2m, while Reiss Nelson has returned to Arsenal and Frank Onyeka has joined Coventry City. Brighton have added Pascal Struijk for £18m and Zadok Yohanna for £21.5m among five signings, and sold Jan Paul van Hecke to Tottenham for £52m. James Milner has retired, with Joel Veltman, Solly March and Adam Webster also departing, and Jeremy Sarmiento has joined Middlesbrough.

Chelsea have signed Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £43m and appointed Xabi Alonso as head coach. Marc Cucurella has joined Real Madrid for £51.8m and Jimmy-Jay Morgan has moved to West Brom for £4m.
