Leeds United Women make their much-anticipated return to the Bannister Prentice Stadium on Sunday, as they host Cheadle Town in the FA WNL Division One North, in an exciting encounter at the top of the table.
Cup duties and fixture postponements have disrupted the Whites’ league schedule since the turn of the year, meaning Simon Wood’s side have only played once in the competition in 2025, where they narrowly slipped to a defeat away against Middlesbrough.
After 13 matches played, United find themselves third in the standings, four points adrift of Sunday’s opposition, table-topping Cheadle Town, though Leeds do have a game in hand on the Cheshire outfit.
Since promotion to Division One North last campaign, Dylan Wimbury’s team have impressed, winning nine times and losing on just three occasions to currently lead the race for promotion.
One of those defeats did come when the two sides met earlier in the season, however, when an early Kath Smith brace and second-half Amy Woodruff finish saw the Whites claim all three points.
Action from the Bannister Prentice Stadium gets underway at 2pm.
