Stoke City and Charlton Athletic go head-to-head at Bet365 Stadium this Tuesday in the EFL Championship.
Stoke City have picked up 27 points and currently lie in 3rd position. In their last fixture, Mark Robins's team suffered a 2-1 reverse against Leicester City (EFL Championship 2025/26).
Charlton Athletic currently have 23 points and lie in 13th position. In their last game, Nathan Jones's team lost 1-5 against Southampton (EFL Championship 2025/26).
Angela Smith (KnotFM): Stoke are coming into this game on the back of two straight defeats, but coming up against a previous manager may add some spice to the contest. Stoke should get back to winning with the defence they have and the backing of the home fans in a closely fought game although Charlton will be smarting from Saturday's defeat.
I expect a couple of changes to the Stoke side as it's the second game of a busy eight days
Prediction: 2-1
Stuart Court (Cafc Facts and Stats): A first half on Saturday to forget for Charlton where they conceded 5 first half goals in a game for the first time in over 42 years.
A trip to Stoke is where they will look to bounce back and the return of James Bree is a much needed one. Personally i would go back to the back 5 that started v Wrexham where both wing backs had good games until Campbell was switched to go up front midway through the second half.
A point would be a good one for Charlton in a tough week already for them.
Prediction: 1-1
