Prince William watched Aston Villa lift the Europa League, then hailed the achievement while highlighting injured midfielder Boubacar Kamara’s role.
Villa defeated Freiburg 3-0 in Istanbul, with Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendia and Morgan Rogers on target. The victory ended a 30-year wait for a major trophy and came 44 years after the 1982 European Cup win over Bayern Munich.

The Prince said in a post on the @KensingtonRoyal X account that he congratulated the players, staff and everyone connected to the club, and he gave special mention to Kamara. The midfielder has been out since January after a knee injury against Tottenham Hotspur.
Prince William was also in the stands for the semi-final second leg at Villa Park earlier this month, when Villa beat Nottingham Forest 4-0.
He has supported Villa since his school days.
