Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has on Tuesday moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona.
The player in question? Pedri.
Spanish international Pedri is for his part of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular stretch of individual form.
From his berth at the heart of Barcelona’s engine room, the 22-year-old is continuing to excel in every aspect of the game.
From dribbling to passing, work rate, tackling, vision and beyond, Pedri has emerged as, in the eyes of many, the very best midfielder in world football.
And one individual in no two minds when it comes to the quality boasted by Barcelona’s technician is the aforementioned Luis Enrique.
Ahead of his side’s Champions League showdown with his former club on Wednesday, PSG headmaster Enrique explained:
“Pedri is Harry Potter to me… I hope he doesn’t bring the wand tomorrow!”
