Rodrygo stayed with Real Madrid after the summer transfer window, despite ongoing speculation about his next destination. PSG was often linked to the winger, but no agreement was reached.
Reports about PSG’s interest have been mixed. Foot Mercato’s Josué Cassé stated that Rodrygo wasn’t among their targets. Meanwhile, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg indicated that both PSG and Liverpool have been closely monitoring him, with Tottenham Hotspur no longer in the running.
A move to Paris could still happen once the season is over if Rodrygo’s role at Real Madrid doesn’t change. Meanwhile, although interest from Premier League clubs has been limited, one team appears particularly eager to sign him.

Nonetheless, if PSG does decide to enter the Rodrygo saga, there will be competition. However, there’s conflicting information as to what clubs could have a serious interest in the Brazilian, one of them being Arsenal.
Transfer journalist Graeme Bailey reports that Rodrygo has returned to Arsenal’s radar, with the Brazilian star potentially stepping in for fellow countryman Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates Stadium in 2026.
“Rodrygo is very much back on the radar now,” Bailey told Arsenal Insider. “He’s wanting out again as he’s not playing anywhere near enough football for Real Madrid at the moment. Arsenal are fully aware of what’s going on with him, his situation, etc.
“And if he’s available on loan, I just have a gut feeling that Tottenham are going to go for him and Arsenal are going to beat him to the punch again.
“I think with Martinelli or Trossard potentially leaving next summer, he could be the icing on the cake signing for [Andrea] Berta.”
Meanwhile, Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke pointed out that Arsenal aren’t in urgent need of a player like Rodrygo and suggested that the north London club are unlikely to pursue him during the January transfer window. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how this entire situation unfolds as we head into the winter window.
