As per L’Équipe, Juan Bernat (31) has seen his Paris Saint-Germain contract terminated in a move that allows Randal Kolo Muani (26) to complete a loan move to Juventus.

Kolo Muani, who has already undergone his medical ahead of a straight loan switch to the Italian side, had been on the verge of making the transfer official. However, there was a snag. Six PSG players have already been loaned out and rules prohibit any more of the reigning Ligue 1 side’s players heading out on loan.

A loan, therefore, had to be cut short, one of the loans made permanent, or as has been the case, the contract of one of the loanees terminated. Bernat’s deal with PSG was set to expire at the end of the season. He has been on loan at Villarreal. As a result, Les Parisiens have decided to terminate his contract. He has now signed a short-term deal with the La Liga side until the end of the season, according to L’Équipe.

It means that a slot has opened up that will now allow for the completion of Kolo Muani’s loan switch. Another slot will then have to be opened up to allow Milan Skriniar to complete his move to Fenerbahçe.
