The PSG v Chelsea Champions League last-16 first leg on Wednesday at 21:00 at the Parc des Princes is not causing particular concern for the authorities, though vigilance will remain.

According to L'Équipe, there is no history between the two sets of supporters and no recent meetings that brought incidents or disorder.

Even so, the Direction nationale de lutte contre le hooliganisme plans to rate the fixture three out of five, a level that recognises a risk to public order linked to disputes between fans or the habitual behaviour of some.

The rating reflects the competition and the size of the visiting contingent. About 2,000 Chelsea supporters are due at the Parc, and others could travel without tickets and mix with home fans.

Last season, a fight broke out in a Pigalle bar involving PSG and Aston Villa supporters on the night of a Champions League quarter-final first leg. A clash between two groups from Collectif Ultras Paris a few weeks ago also underpins the cautious approach.
