The midfielder had been struggling with a heel injury which had kept him out of PSG’s last two matches against Nantes and Angers, but the Portugal international makes a well-timed return to feature in Europe.

Elsewhere, forward Quentin Ndjantou is out with a hamstring issue, but otherwise, Luis Enrique has a full complement to pick from.

Matvey Safonov has made the No1 jersey his own despite Lucas Chevalier’s arrival to replace the departed Gianluigi Donnarumma.

In front of him, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes complete a formidable full-back duo, while William Pacho partners Marquinhos in the middle for this huge European tie as they look to keep Harry Kane quiet.

In the engine room, Vitinha’s return means that Lucas Beraldo’s time as a makeshift No6 is up, with Vitinha slotting back into his quarterback position, alongside Joao Neves and Warren Zaire-Emery.

The front three is where it gets even scarier, with the options that Enrique has to play with.

Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele starts down the middle and will be supported by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue on the flanks.

PSG XI (4-3-3): Safonov; Hakimi, Pacho, Marquinhos, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
