FLW's QPR fan pundit gives his verdict on the signing of Akos Buzsaky
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
QPR struck gold with the signing of Akos Buzsaky, who went onto become a cult hero at Loftus Road.
The versatile midfielder Akos Buzsaky kicked off his career in his native homeland, Hungary, and went onto have stints with Porto and Plymouth before making a name for himself with QPR for which he is best known.
Buzsaky quickly became a name that the EFL and Loftus Road won't forget due to his attacking contributions and helping with the R's winning promotion to the Premier League in the 2010/11 season.
With a two-month loan deal in place before signing for the R's permanently in 2007, Buzsaky made an instant impact with his new club, coming up with 16 goal contributions in 27 appearances in his first season, including 10 goals.
The Hungarian went on to be a key figure in QPR's line-up for the next four years as he went on to feature 125 times for Rangers, and now is amongst the list of names as the club's most value for money signings since the turn of the century.

For QPR fans, they had their fair share of stars during the early 2010's period, such as the likes of Loic Remy, Rio Ferdinand, and Julio Cesar to name a few. However, very few had the significant impact that Buzsaky had on the club as he helped the club in both the Championship as well as the top-flight.
For Football League World's QPR fan pundit, Louis, he believes that the Hungarian, despite being adored around Loftus Road, could've gone on to become so much more as an individual, and played for a top club.
"When he joined from Plymouth all those years ago, he obviously had a lot of good moments for us in the Championship. He was that sort of player where every goal he scored would probably be a great one, and he scored plenty of them for us, and also a couple of cracking goals in the Premier League as well."
"I think with Buzsaky, he was that sort of creative maverick, number 10, sort of player who had that ability to change a game and scoring the goals he did, and what he brought to the club as well, he just went down as a real, real fan favourite."
"I think with him, it's just a shame because I feel that he had the ability to go on to do a lot more than he actually did, especially with us in the Premier League. Like I said, he had his moments, but I don't know whether he was that sort of player that he didn't truly believe how good he actually was."

The Hungarian midfielder took his performance levels to that next level when at Loftus Road, adopting a more forward-thinking role on the pitch, which translated to Buzsaky seeing major improvements to his attacking returns.
However, for FLW's QPR fan pundit, Louis, he thinks that despite having a keen eye for goal and being a key creator in QPR's side in the top-flight, Buzsaky could have gone on to become a household name at a bigger club than themselves.
Louis said: "There was no denying his ability, it was at a top level and I think maybe he could've played for a bigger club than us or definitely should've played a lot more than he did in the Premier League.
"But, yeah, he was a great guy, a top, top player, and one that I think for a long time will go down in that bracket of QPR players that the fans just loved and was also just that typical maverick type player who just scored cracking goals and was a joy to watch at times."
"He was at the club for quite a while, to be fair, and had a lot of games in the Championship, a few in the Premier League, and it was nice that we went up, and he was still involved in the club and the squad and showed what he could do at that level, so top player he was."
