The 23-year-old joined Die Werkself from Liverpool in a €35 million deal last summer and has quickly settled into life at the BayArena, becoming a regular presence in the side.

Quansah has featured 38 times across all competitions this season, playing a key role both domestically and in Europe, where Leverkusen’s Champions League campaign came to an end against Arsenal in the round of 16.

With the club currently sitting fifth in the Bundesliga and firmly in the race for a top-four finish, the England defender remains focused on what lies ahead.

“I want to show what I’m capable of and what I can give to this team and the fans,” Quansah said. “I’ve really enjoyed it so far, but it’s not over yet. We have an important month ahead.”

Despite his relatively young age, Quansah is no stranger to high-pressure environments. Having broken through at Premier League champions Liverpool over the previous two seasons, he developed within a culture where expectations are relentless.

Reflecting on his move abroad, Quansah acknowledged the challenges that come with leaving familiar surroundings.

“It’s never easy to move to another country,” he explained. “After the pressure at Liverpool, it’s difficult to leave such a big club and try to build your own career after being in one place for 17 years. But I’m glad it’s gone well so far.”
